My Brother's First Swim Meet

Yesterday my brother had his first swim meet. He was in races 3, 21, and 29. I'm pretty sure that in all his races he got second. That made me happy for him, and happy for our swim club's swimming team.

In the swim meets they give out 50-50 tickets. You can either get an arms-length for five dollars or a foot for a dollar. When they raffled them off the person with the table next to us won! We were so close!

Finally they were going to tell us the winner. But they were having problems with the scores. Finally we knew that we lost. But that's OK, I hope they at least had fun!

My First Day Of Music Camp

Today I went to my First Day of Music camp for the Alto Saxophone. I went to a group lesson, an Intermediate Band class, and an advanced Jazz Band class.

I went to Advanced Jazz because they only had 3 kids for Intermediate Jazz so they combined them with the advanced. I'd say the most fun was the Sax lesson because the teacher gave us a not too easy, not too hard song. The song we played was called The Monk Song by:Beethoven.

So then I went on to Intermediate Band. I don't remember the names of the songs, but they were pretty easy. The next thing I had to do stunk. I had to wait around for one hour! Intermediate Band ended at 11:00 and Advanced Jazz started at 12:00.

Then finally, I went into Advanced Jazz. Then we started. The first we did was a B-flat scale. I didn't know that scale! It was already too hard! So right after that I knew Advanced Jazz would be too hard. I was right. The first song confused me a lot. I couldn't wait for it to be over! Right when my mom came I told her I didn't want to do Jazz anymore because it was WAY to hard. Finally camp was over. It was tough!

My first day music camp wasn't a success, but it wasn't bad!

Thanks To Mrs. Imbimbo

School ended on June 24. On that date Mrs. Imbimbo gave out a 25 dollar gift card for Toys 'R' Us. Who had the most stickers got it. To get a sticker you had to be good that day in school. I thought a girl in my class would win it because last time I checked we were tied. So finally she was about to say who won the contest. It was so suspenseful. When I heard who's name she said I was so surprised. It was me! And once I found out what the prize was, I was even more surprised. That made my day!

A Journey To The Farmer's Market

In my last blog post I was talking about not wanting to go to the farmer's market.

Well I had to go, but it wasn't so bad after all.  We thought the farmer's market closed at 2 PM but we were wrong, it actually closed at 1 PM and that was a big disappointment (we got there at 1 PM!), but it wasn't a disappointment to me.  The rest of my family was disappointed because almost all the people had closed up shop.

So then we found out that this one place where we could get baked goods was open.  So I got a red velvet cupcake and my brother got a donut brownie thing.

Then we finished.  So we went to eat at The Office.

After we finished eating, we went back to the car and then my brother and I ate our treats.  It turned out that my cupcake didn't have vanilla frosting, it had butter-cream frosting.  And my brother's treat was just fine.  That was the one thing in our trip that disappointed me.  But I still have a chance to make my day better.

A Cranky Morning

Our old Electrolux vacuum!
This morning, I got up and went downstairs to watch TV (again!)
I knew I had to clean up the pop corn that my brother's best friend had left on the floor by accident.  So for some weird reason, I did my chore and vac'd up all the pop corn, even though it was my brother's chore since it was his play-date.

And then we had breakfast.  Right when I saw my strawberries, I didn't want to eat them.  So I closed my eyes and ate one.  Actually it wasn't so bad, but I just didn't want to look at it, because it looked kind of gross to me.  And then the worst part happened.  My dad said I had to go on a walk!

Finally, breakfast was over, so I had to practice my sax.  But first I got changed.  So I went up to my room and got changed.  My mom called up and said we had to go to the farmer's market.  I was so disappointed because I really didn't want to go to the farmer's market.  I don't know why, just didn't.

And then I started practicing my sax. Here is a video of me playing my sax recital last week!

An Outing With Will & Dad

Old shoe machines
Today William, Dad & I went to the shoe repair, the vacuum place & Toys 'R' Us.
When we were at the shoe repair, I saw some cool machines.  I didn't know what they did, but they looked cool.

An old Electrolux vac
At the vacuum repair shop we saw some really old vacuums and some new ones.

Old-fashioned restaurant
Next, we went to a restaurant called the Highlander Restaurant. There was no one else eating there.
But the food was OK and the owners were kind.

Cool NERF gun
Finally, we went to Toys 'R' Us, and I knew exactly what I wanted... a new NERF gun!
I also got NERF darts when I was there, just for the fun of it.

The only way I was able to buy this was because Mrs. Imbimbo gave me a $25 gift card to Toys 'R' Us for having the most stickers.

Welcome To My New Blog!

I just came up with the idea that I wanted to make a website today. So this morning I came downstairs and started watching TV. You probably know that eventually TV always gets boring so I went upstairs to the computer. Since I'm a kid, I had a really hard time trying to make a website.
So eventually I went back downstairs to ask for help. Right when my dad saw I was making a website, he asked me if I wanted to do a blog instead, and of course I said yes because he knows better then me. And remember, making a blog wasn't in my schedule but I did it anyway because I was bored.  So then we got to making the blog. You know that part. First you got to type in your address, then your birthday, and finally your E-mail, you know the deal.
So then we got to actually started making the background and typing up this blog. I hope you liked my first ever blog entry.

Happy Summer!
