The Last Day Of Summer Vacation

Today is the last day of Summer Vacation. I'm pretty sad Summer Vacation is over. But it was a very fun summer! I also accomplished a few things such as almost being able to ride a bike and getting much better at baseball! This was a summer I won't forget.

I had fun writing this blog this summer.  I hope you liked reading it too!

A Great Game

On Saturday I went to a baseball game with my brother, mom and dad. When we got to the stadium, we first went to the Yankees team store to get T-shirts. When we got in, it was so crowed.  William and I were trying to choose witch player we wanted on our shirt. William said he wanted A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez) on his shirt, but I couldn't choose. So after William got his shirt I finally chose who I wanted on my shirt. I wanted Curtis Granderson. After we finished at the store, we went to our seats.

In the beginning of the game, the Yankees scored a couple of runs, but the Rays got a Solo Home run! Luckily, the Yankees were still winning.

After the first couple of innings, we went inside the Jimbeam Lounge to eat lunch. While we in there getting food, Curtis Granderson, my favorite player, hit a Solo Home run! I was infuriated! So after I got my food, I really wanted to go back outside so I wouldn't anymore of the game. And of course I did get to go back outside after I got my food.

So after I went outside, at one point the bases were loaded. Jorge Posada was up. And then he hit a GRAND SLAM! I was so Happy! I missed my favorite player's Home run, but I saw a Grand slam!

After that definitely wanted to stay the whole game. And I'm glad I did, because the Yankees won!

I'm Bored

This morning I'm bored because I already played on the computer, I don't want to play my DS or read a book, and only my brother's up, but he doesn't like playing games with me. So now, since I'm all out of ideas, I'm just going to play another computer game. Maybe I'll add something else later because it's only morning right now.

Mondays

Today's Monday and I don't have anything fun to do anymore. I already played with Jake, watched all the good shows, played my D.S, read a little, and played a couple games on the computer. The only thing left to do is do that stuff over again, but it's only four thirty so I'd be doing that stuff about 5 times! And after a wile it would get pretty boring. There's about 5 more hours till I go to sleep, so I guess I'll be doing those things the rest of the day, unless someone wants to invite me to their nice and big indoor pool. And if they do, just give me a call. So now I'm going to go downstairs and do all those things.

Oh. And since it's the first day of August, have a happy August!

My Little Cousins Birthday Party

Last Saturday my little cousin had his birthday party. But he's turning 2 this week.

At his birthday party we went swimming in there Big indoor pool, ate lunch, and played with him. So as I said, first we went swimming. But on Saturday the water was unusually warm. But I went in. Nothing was wrong with the pool, it was just warmer than usual.  While I was in the pool I played with my little cousin a little.

So then I got out of the pool to eat. So I ate a couple of chips then went outside waiting for my uncle to finish grilling. But this made me really mad. He was grilling the chicken first, then the hot dogs, then the hamburgers last. So I waited outside in the sun for so long and then I ate.

After I ate I went back in the pool and I just had the same experience all over again. So finally my mom forced me to get out of the pool and we left.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2

On Saturday we went to see Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2. I thought it was scary, sad and exciting. It was about Voldamort (Bad guy) trying to kill Harry Potter (Good guy). He wants to kill Harry so bad because he was the only one blocking him from ruling the world.

So then Voldamort goes to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. To get in to Hogwarts he has to destroy their extremely strong shield. He did, but only because of the Elder Wand. The Elder Wand is the most powerful wand in the universe. You can only use its full potential if you killed its last owner. But even if you didn't, it would still be very powerful. They needed to break open the shield because if you touched it at all from the outside you would automatically die.

After he broke the shield, his army and him raided Hogwarts. The only reason Harry was at the school was because he was looking for the last two Horcruxes, which are items that can make you immortal if at least one is left.

(SPOILER ALERT!)
Now I'm going to skip to the part where Harry fights Voldamort. So harry took Voldamort on a Six Hundred feet fall with him, but they didn't die because Voldamort can turn into gas. So then they started fighting. It was very intense. But Voldamort still had one Horcrux left. Here's the weirdest part. Another character named Nevil destroyed the last Horcrux. So then it was equal. Anyone could win. Then they were both starting to lose strength, but at the last minute Harry won! Everyone was so happy. The only reason Harry won is because Voldamort couldn't use the wands full power. Harry could.

So after that, Harry's friend Ron asked him what he would do with the wand. All he did was rip the elder wand in half and throw it in to a canyon.

Finally the movie was over.

The Contrabass Saxophone

A random guy playing the Contrabass Sax
On my last day of music camp my sax teacher told me about the Contrabass Saxophone. There's one thing you have to know about it. It is HUMONGOUS! It's six feet seven inches tall! When you play it, you have to stand up as tall you can. The thing that helps you play it is that the part that goes on to the mouthpiece curls down. Here's something that will amaze you. A three year old girl can sit inside the opening in the horn!  There's one thing that really amazes me. There are only sixteen Contrabass Saxophones in the World and my music camp teacher has one of them.

The End Of Music Camp

Friday was the end of Music Camp. I also started playing a new song in Camp. It 's called Allegro, by: Mozart.

Then, after my Sax lesson I started thinking about The Concert. The Concert is a big recital they have of some of the songs we've played throughout Music Camp. I was thinking about not doing it even though I signed up for it. I was nervous that I wouldn't be good enough. But then I noticed something. My Sax teacher thought I was the best in the class, and I was having a pretty easy time in Band so I should have nothing to worry about. But I was still nervous for some weird reason.

After my mom came I was so relived to get out. I liked camp, but I still wanted to end it.

When I got home, all I wanted to do was rest after two long weeks of Music Camp.

Another Week Of Camp

Today I started my second week of Music Camp. I went to the exact same classes all at the exact same times as before. And of course there were some different people. That made me so mad even though I knew there were going to be different people.

So then I went to my First class. My first class is my group Sax lesson. The person who teacher's name is Mr. Sorenson. He plays A TON of instruments. He plays all the saxophones (there are six types: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Barritone, Bass and Contrabass), both types clarinets, the flute, the trumpet, and the trombone. The piece of music were playing is called "Overture".

Next I went on to Band. The pieces I'm playing in Band are "Another One Bites The Dust", "Linus And Lucy", "Fun, Fun, Fun", "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "Eye Of The Tiger", and "Tequila". The teacher's name is Mr. Ceremula.

After all that my mom picked me up and dropped my brother off for his Camp there. Later today I'm going to see how he likes Camp.

A Week With My Mom

First of all, I'm sorry I didn't make any posts this week. There was really nothing to talk about.

Anyway, my brother has Boy Scout Camp this week. The only thing I 'm totally sure he does there is swim.  Of course since it's Boy Scout Camp, he has to swim in a lake. To get his swimming merit badge he also has to turn his clothes into a flotation device. That's all I know about his swimming merit badge.

This week I also went to the morning class at Tae Kwon Doe. At the morning class, all belts can come. No, White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Red, Brown (which I am), Junior Black, Junior Black Yellow Stripe, Junior Black Green Stripe, and finally, Junior Black Blue Stripe. It turned out I was the highest belt rank there, and the only Brown Belt.

After Tae Kwon Doe, my mom and I went to "The Super Stop and Shop". Since we had time, my mom let me use the Scan-It again! That made me really happy. So then we finished our shopping and went home. That was really fun!

A Nice Barbecue

This afternoon my family had a barbecue at our house. We had soft and hard taco shells and we had foods to either go in a taco, or just be on the side. I was kind of excited because I thought we were having burgers, but it turned out we were having tacos instead. That made me a little sad, but it didn't ruin the day at all.

So then we finally got to eat. In my taco I had just cheese. But since I only had cheese in my taco, my mom made me have steak. It wasn't that bad, but I didn't like it. I also had a Sprite to drink. So finally after my I finished eating, my mom let me have dessert. I had an OREO Cakester. An OREO Cakester is an OREO, except with chocolate cake instead of chocolate cookie.

After that, my parents made me play my Alto Saxophone. Some of the songs I played were Air, Winter, The Entertainer, and In The Hall of The Mountain King. I was having a somewhat hard time because I haven't practiced these songs very recently. When that was over my brother started practicing his Clarinet. After all that was over, most people left, and I came up to do this Post.

A Kind Of Awkward Saturday

Today, as you know from the title, is Saturday. Even if you might not know this, today is in the Fourth of July weekend.

This morning I snook out of bed quietly to go play games on the computer. The game I wanted to play was a game creator where you could either make your own game, or play another person's game. So after I made my first game, I of course tried making another game. I had to think about what to make it like, so I did that. To publish your game and put it on the internet, You have to beat it. So when it came, I beat my game. But then something really really bad happened. It said "Sorry, your data didn't process. "That made me so mad! I had to start all over! So then I did that 2 more times and it happened each time! So then I finally stopped. But soon later, I had to go to Tae Kwon Doe.

For my Tae Kwon Doe you have to do two classes a week. It turns out I only one class so far this week. Since I'm a Brown Belt, I can go to classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Since it's the Fourth of July weekend, Tae Kwon Doe was closed today. Since it was closed I had to go food shopping with my mom.

Since we had a lot of time my mom let me use the Scan-It at the Stop And Shop! I was so happy! She's never let me use the Scan-It before. So than we went off to get the fruits and vegetables we needed for our barbecue. When we tried getting our first item, the Scan-It wouldn't scan the label. So then it got to the point where we needed to ask an employee for help. He said that we had to weigh the item, enter our quantity, and then take our label and scan it. So then we finally got to scan our first item. But there was still some more things to get such as meat and dairy.

Finally we got all the products we needed so we needed to check out and pay, but we didn't know how. They had a sign that told you how to check out with the Scan-It. It said to go to the check out counter and scan a sign. So after all that commotion, we got to pay, check out, and leave. That was unexpected, but it was exciting!

My Brother's First Swim Meet

Yesterday my brother had his first swim meet. He was in races 3, 21, and 29. I'm pretty sure that in all his races he got second. That made me happy for him, and happy for our swim club's swimming team.

In the swim meets they give out 50-50 tickets. You can either get an arms-length for five dollars or a foot for a dollar. When they raffled them off the person with the table next to us won! We were so close!

Finally they were going to tell us the winner. But they were having problems with the scores. Finally we knew that we lost. But that's OK, I hope they at least had fun!

My First Day Of Music Camp

Today I went to my First Day of Music camp for the Alto Saxophone. I went to a group lesson, an Intermediate Band class, and an advanced Jazz Band class.

I went to Advanced Jazz because they only had 3 kids for Intermediate Jazz so they combined them with the advanced. I'd say the most fun was the Sax lesson because the teacher gave us a not too easy, not too hard song. The song we played was called The Monk Song by:Beethoven.

So then I went on to Intermediate Band. I don't remember the names of the songs, but they were pretty easy. The next thing I had to do stunk. I had to wait around for one hour! Intermediate Band ended at 11:00 and Advanced Jazz started at 12:00.

Then finally, I went into Advanced Jazz. Then we started. The first we did was a B-flat scale. I didn't know that scale! It was already too hard! So right after that I knew Advanced Jazz would be too hard. I was right. The first song confused me a lot. I couldn't wait for it to be over! Right when my mom came I told her I didn't want to do Jazz anymore because it was WAY to hard. Finally camp was over. It was tough!

My first day music camp wasn't a success, but it wasn't bad!

Thanks To Mrs. Imbimbo

School ended on June 24. On that date Mrs. Imbimbo gave out a 25 dollar gift card for Toys 'R' Us. Who had the most stickers got it. To get a sticker you had to be good that day in school. I thought a girl in my class would win it because last time I checked we were tied. So finally she was about to say who won the contest. It was so suspenseful. When I heard who's name she said I was so surprised. It was me! And once I found out what the prize was, I was even more surprised. That made my day!

A Journey To The Farmer's Market

In my last blog post I was talking about not wanting to go to the farmer's market.

Well I had to go, but it wasn't so bad after all.  We thought the farmer's market closed at 2 PM but we were wrong, it actually closed at 1 PM and that was a big disappointment (we got there at 1 PM!), but it wasn't a disappointment to me.  The rest of my family was disappointed because almost all the people had closed up shop.

So then we found out that this one place where we could get baked goods was open.  So I got a red velvet cupcake and my brother got a donut brownie thing.

Then we finished.  So we went to eat at The Office.

After we finished eating, we went back to the car and then my brother and I ate our treats.  It turned out that my cupcake didn't have vanilla frosting, it had butter-cream frosting.  And my brother's treat was just fine.  That was the one thing in our trip that disappointed me.  But I still have a chance to make my day better.

A Cranky Morning

Our old Electrolux vacuum!
This morning, I got up and went downstairs to watch TV (again!)
I knew I had to clean up the pop corn that my brother's best friend had left on the floor by accident.  So for some weird reason, I did my chore and vac'd up all the pop corn, even though it was my brother's chore since it was his play-date.

And then we had breakfast.  Right when I saw my strawberries, I didn't want to eat them.  So I closed my eyes and ate one.  Actually it wasn't so bad, but I just didn't want to look at it, because it looked kind of gross to me.  And then the worst part happened.  My dad said I had to go on a walk!

Finally, breakfast was over, so I had to practice my sax.  But first I got changed.  So I went up to my room and got changed.  My mom called up and said we had to go to the farmer's market.  I was so disappointed because I really didn't want to go to the farmer's market.  I don't know why, just didn't.

And then I started practicing my sax. Here is a video of me playing my sax recital last week!

An Outing With Will & Dad

Old shoe machines
Today William, Dad & I went to the shoe repair, the vacuum place & Toys 'R' Us.
When we were at the shoe repair, I saw some cool machines.  I didn't know what they did, but they looked cool.

An old Electrolux vac
At the vacuum repair shop we saw some really old vacuums and some new ones.

Old-fashioned restaurant
Next, we went to a restaurant called the Highlander Restaurant. There was no one else eating there.
But the food was OK and the owners were kind.

Cool NERF gun
Finally, we went to Toys 'R' Us, and I knew exactly what I wanted... a new NERF gun!
I also got NERF darts when I was there, just for the fun of it.

The only way I was able to buy this was because Mrs. Imbimbo gave me a $25 gift card to Toys 'R' Us for having the most stickers.

Welcome To My New Blog!

I just came up with the idea that I wanted to make a website today. So this morning I came downstairs and started watching TV. You probably know that eventually TV always gets boring so I went upstairs to the computer. Since I'm a kid, I had a really hard time trying to make a website.
So eventually I went back downstairs to ask for help. Right when my dad saw I was making a website, he asked me if I wanted to do a blog instead, and of course I said yes because he knows better then me. And remember, making a blog wasn't in my schedule but I did it anyway because I was bored.  So then we got to making the blog. You know that part. First you got to type in your address, then your birthday, and finally your E-mail, you know the deal.
So then we got to actually started making the background and typing up this blog. I hope you liked my first ever blog entry.

Happy Summer!
